FROM THE COVER/PUBLISHER:A Fae War has left the supernatural community of Bon Temps, Louisiana, in chaos – and waitress Sookie Stackhouse mentally and physically drained. And still, the peace and quiet she so desperately craves is hard to come by…
MY TAKE: I really wasn’t sure what to think when I was done with this book. It was a quick read, took me an afternoon. I haven’t read all of the Sookie Stackhouse series yet, but I feel rather disappointed with this tenth installment.
It was all over the place as far as storylines. While they all intersected at various points, I still felt that it was jumping around quite a bit instead of delving into just a few of the characters revolving around Sookie. Some of the lines & newer characters were wrapped up a little too quick and neat for my taste. I am still glad that I read it and look forward to the next book in hopes that it will get a little “meatier” with some of the characters and their issues.
